Mumtaz Hajj & Umrah Tours and Travels was founded in 2009 in Mumbai by a small team who had themselves struggled with confusing agents and unclear packages during their own pilgrimage. We set out to build something different — an agency that treats every traveller's family like our own.
Since then, we've guided over 500 pilgrims from across India — families, senior citizens, and first-time Umrah travellers — through a journey that can otherwise feel overwhelming.
Today, that same founding promise still guides every decision we make — from the hotels we choose to the way our coordinators speak with an anxious first-time traveller on the phone. Growth has never come at the cost of the personal attention every pilgrim deserves.

Imran Sheikh founded Mumtaz Hajj & Umrah Tours and Travels in 2009 after his own family's frustrating experience with unclear, poorly-organised Umrah agents. A native of Mumbai with a background in logistics and hospitality, he set out to build an agency run the way he wished his own parents had been looked after — with honesty, patience and genuine care.
Under his leadership, Mumtaz has grown from a single Umrah booking desk into a Haj Committee–coordinated group organiser trusted by over 500 pilgrims across India, while still personally reviewing every Hajj group departure.
